about me

I enjoy working and experimenting with many mediums. My favorites include charcoal and graphite drawing and hand-building clay ceramics. I’m from Fluvanna County, which is a small rural town in the greater Charlottesville, VA area. I explored many majors–including engineering and vet tech–in community college before I found my niche in studio art. I then transferred to University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA in 2019 to complete my Bachelor of Arts degree. Some common themes throughout my work include childhood and adolescent isolation, underlying depression, and abstract nature. Two big inspirations for me are Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Tim Burton’s works. I’m currently conceptualizing ideas for my upcoming senior exhibition for Spring 2022. I’m living and loving life in my small city apartment with my support team–my husband Justin and bearded dragon Peanut.
